During the installation of the exhibition sometimes i hold onto the air we open the doors for a look behind the scenes. The exhibition features works by Belarusian artists in exile.
The curators will be present to give an insight into their work.
We also invite you to an open workshop as part of the installation. The work Mourning Morning by Rozalina Busel is part of her long-term project Borders and Restrictions, in which she explores the experience of migration. In her work, black carnations symbolise mourning and border situations, such as the end of a life in one place and the beginning in a new one.

In the workshop you can participate in Rozalina Busel’s work by making black paper carnations. Participating in the workshop is not only a collective action aimed at starting a conversation and sharing experiences of migration, but also an opportunity to show empathy and become part of the exhibition through a small gesture.

It takes 10 to 15 minutes to make a flower. There is no space limit and there is no need to book in advance.

Languages: English, German, Belarusian, and Polish
