We cordially invite you to the opening of the exhibition On the Situation of Women in Family and Society. In 1973, art students Evelyn Kuwertz, Brigitte Mauch, and Antonia Wernery created a life-size environment exploring “the situation of women in family and society”—but shortly before the opening of their exhibition, it was censored due to “moral concerns,” and the work has never since been shown in its entirety in Berlin. For the first time in fifty years, the Galerie im Körnerpark is now presenting the surviving parts of the work. In dialogue with nine contemporary works, the exhibition once again raises the question of the situation of women—a question that is more relevant than ever in light of the rise of right-wing movements and growing pressure on feminist achievements.
