Curators Mona Hermann and Yolanda Kaddu-Mulindwa will guide you through this year’s group show Up Close – Goldrausch 2025 featuring current works by fifteen international female artists from the renowned support and training program.

The exhibition brings together artistic positions that are characterized by a precise analysis of contemporary realities as well as experimental explorations of new forms of expression. In painting, photography, large-scale and multimedia installations, performance, video, and drawing, questions of memory, subjectivity, and power structures become visible. The works open up perspectives in which closeness – Up Close – can be experienced as an artistic strategy: closeness to one’s own biography, to social conditions, and to political debates.
