Interdisciplinary talk

with artists of the exhibition “Silent Spring” and Dr. Maria Cecilia Oliveira

In this interdisciplinary talk, we will discuss thematic complexes of the exhibition with the artists themselves and the researcher Dr. Maria Cecilia Oliveira in front of the art works. To what extent can we adapt to the planetary challenges of our time? How can we become allies with the countries already most affected by climate change? What can sustainable futures look like? We will talk about the oceans as a site of colonization, capitalism and the environmental crisis, as well as about the human temptation to want to confront global crises primarily through technology.

The talk will take place in German and English.
